Senior Specialist IT Internal Auditor

You will work with leaders across all facets of our organization to identify areas of risk, make valuable recommendations and influence positive change; all to help our Company achieve our purpose ~ Eat Well, Save Time, Live Better.  

 

The team’s priorities are focused on helping our business partners achieve their goals and objectives by managing risk through:

 

  • Maintaining proactive relationships with business management teams to stay in-sync with an everchanging business environment;
  • Designing and executing audit programs covering operational, technology, compliance and financial risks, targeting high-risk areas in the company’s processes and systems;
  • Creating impactful recommendations to assist management in better managing their risks;
  • Communicating audit results to senior leaders; and
  • Attending learning programs, training and networking sessions while preparing yourself to become a future leader in our organization.

 

About the job....
In your role as Senior Specialist IT Auditor, you will have a unique opportunity to see and understand many different areas of our company, including the latest digital and technology related developments and projects (e.g., Cloud Transformation, DevSecOps, Automation, Data lakes). You will be part of a multidisciplinary team with different backgrounds (audit and non-audit) and not only perform IT audits, but also perform operational audits. Together with the team you are responsible for analyzing and assessing risk management within a business unit. Subsequently, you share the observations with management in order to define next steps together. Every audit is unique, as you will work on different topics within different US brands and changing audit teams.


To support Ahold Delhaize in their digital journey, Internal Audit is developing a team with digital knowledge and capabilities as we implement a more data driven, and technology enabled audit life cycle. We are looking for a Senior Specialist IT auditor who can support us and Ahold Delhaize in this digital transformation.

 

 

What we’re looking for ...

You’ll need to have:

  • Critical thinking skills – use independent thought to obtain information and analyze complex situations
  • Effective communication skills – convey information and ideas concisely; both verbally and in writing
  • Project management skills – work in and/or lead teams to effectively perform work and prioritize assignments within challenging deadlines
  • Aptitude and desire to understand how technology (i.e., data analytics, general IT processes, robotic process automation, machine learning, etc.) impacts business processes
  • 4-6 years’ experience in a professional work environment with specific knowledge of information security, cloud security, or agile software development (DevSecOps);
  • Bachelor’s degree and relevant business experience in computer science / information technology
  • Already possess or have a willingness to gain credentials in your field – Masters, CPA, CISA, CIA, CISSP AZ-500 / OSCP / GPEN; 
  • Ability to travel within the US 10-20%

 

 The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Business Acumen – the ability to understand organizational processes and objectives as well as obtain organizational insight through effective relationships 
  • Influence/Persuasion – the ability to collaborate with others to remove organizational barriers and use persuasive techniques to reach consensus
  • 5+ years of audit or IT work experience including experience in a Big 4 Accounting firm
  • Experience in the field of auditing technology control disciplines such as robotic process automation, security, application development, change management and computer operations
  • Experience in use of data analytics and utilization of tools such as ACL, Tableau, Alteryx, Microsoft Access, Power BI, or other related data analytics tools
  • Experience in and/or passion for retail
